Pay Range: $26.00 to $32.00/hour

About the Job

This role is about overseeing an assigned portfolio of loans from onboarding to payoff and being the main point of contact for your borrowers.  You’ll need to be comfortable working with borrowers, loan officers, and investors on a regular basis to ensure project success.  You’ll collaborate with other servicing team members and internal departments with a focus on high-quality servicing, strong and effective communication, and relationship building and maintenance. You will work very closely with your supervisor and team to ensure we’re always compliant, providing the best customer service, and following best business practices.  

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Loan Servicing Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of the borrower’s experience. You’ll handle day-to-day loan administration while delivering exceptional customer service every single time. 

 Key Responsibilities: 

Customer Experience & Communication 

  • Answer inbound calls and emails from borrowers regarding payments, portal access, taxes, insurance, verification of wire instructions, and other general servicing questions. 

  • Respond promptly and professionally to borrower inquiries. 

  • Make outbound calls—including collection calls to past-due borrowers—with confidence and clarity. 

  • Process borrower correspondence via email and route requests appropriately. 

  • Follow through with borrowers to ensure timely resolution and clearly communicate the final outcome. 

  • From time to time, you may support other borrower communications and follow-ups related to construction draws and extensions. 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management. 

  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. The employee in this position must be able to read, write, speak and understand English with exceptional fluency. 

Skills and Attributes

  • Bilingual in Spanish – Must be fluent in Spanish, both written and spoken. 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing and customer service. 

  • Confidence making collection calls and navigating challenging conversations. 

  • Must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadline pressure. 

  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. 

  • Promotes teamwork within the department. 

  • Excellent grammatical, oral communication, writing, spelling, and proofreading skills, with the ability to express yourself clearly and effectively. 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and loan servicing systems.
