Canva Help: How to Fit Content Into One Line

Our templates are designed to accommodate a certain number of characters in each text field. If any of your custom fields, like your name or email, exceed that character limit, it will flow onto a second line. Here’s how to fix that by reducing the font size:

  1. Select the text field that’s on two lines and “unlock” it to enable rich text formatting.

  2. With the text field still selected, reduce the font size until all the text fits within the template.

Canva Help: Cropping Images

Our templates are designed for square images, but other image dimensions can fit into our templates using the crop tool in Canva. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Follow the steps above to upload your image (logo and/or headshot) and insert it into the template.

  2. Select the image asset you’d like to crop and select Crop tool from the Canva editor menu (pictured below)

  3. Then, simply click and drag to move or resize your image to fit in the square template.

Canva Help: Additional Custom Fields

Some of our templates have additional custom fields, where you can add more textual data to your customized marketing materials:

  1. Paste or type your information into the available text box as you normally would when editing placeholder content. For company information, we recommend including a quick blurb about your company and its website.

  2. This template accommodates 345 characters in the text field (including spaces and special characters).
