About Us

We’re Rain City Capital–a private real estate lender. We put our borrowers first, which is how we’ve built our business almost exclusively on word-of-mouth referrals. No two workdays are the same, so our team is comprised of individuals who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and take care of business. Our office is energetic, fun, and committed to leading the industry by putting the relationship before the transaction.

About You

You’re a marketing professional looking to support the content and social media strategy for a fun and fast-growing company. With some prior experience running social channels for a business, you have a proven track record of creative problem solving, good judgment and risk assessment, and a focus on customer relationships. You’re driven, tech-savvy, easily adaptable to industry changes, and are comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced workplace. You’re relentlessly proactive and organized, and pitch in to help your team members when they need it.

About the Job

As the Marketing Coordinator at Rain City Capital, your day-to-day duties will involve working cross-functionally with the sales and marketing teams to generate and post daily social media content across the company’s digital channels. You don’t have to go viral, but you will have to employ a social strategy—developing content pillars that resonate with our audience, generating content that’s true to our brand, and tracking engagement for constant improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Content planning: You’ll brainstorm ideas for all different kinds of content and plot your ideas across a daily, weekly, and monthly calendar. You’re intentional and organized, easily adaptable to changes in the schedule, you stay current on social media trends and best practices, and are open to building a process that streamlines content generation.

  • Content creation: You’ll be responsible for the bulk of content creation, which may include designing concepts, taking and editing photos, shooting and editing video, and writing copy. Each social media platform requires a slightly different approach, so it’s super important that you’re able to clearly tell a story and inspire action through your visuals and words.

  • Audience engagement and reporting: Responding to comments, engaging with partners, and keeping an eye on competitors—this is all part of social listening. You will be expected to have an understanding of how different posts are performing across channels and report back to the marketing team with analytics and ideas for optimization.

  • Collaboration: You’ll be working daily with different members of the marketing and sales departments, and other departments as needed, so this job will be way more fun for you if you’re a team player who loves and understands people. Excellent communication, internally and externally, is a must.

Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in marketing, communications, or similar with a good understanding of the principles of social media marketing.

  • Experience running Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok accounts for a business preferred.

  • Experience with mobile video editing tools (CapCut, Instagram and TikTok native tools, etc.)

  • Experience using Canva and/or the Adobe Creative suite preferred.

  • Must be a true “people-person”, excited to build and maintain great relationships, both with internal team members, external partners and vendors, and followers online.

  • Solutions-oriented with a bias toward action and the ability to react quickly to changing priorities.

  • Take initiative to build scalable processes and procedures around the company’s content strategy.

  • Possess great attention to detail with immaculate organizational skills.

  • Must be a dependable self-starter.

  • Excellent grammatical, oral communication, writing, spelling, and proofreading skills, with ability to express yourself clearly and effectively in writing.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Windows, MS Teams, MS Excel spreadsheets and MS Word processing.

Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. The employee in this position must be able to read, write, speak and understand English with exceptional fluency.

Rain City Capital offers a hybrid work environment, which means employees perform their duties remotely or in person and will be expected to check email, phone, and text messages throughout the day and respond in a timely fashion consistent with a normal company workday. This role must be willing to commute to our local office on a weekly basis, at a minimum of 3 days per week.
