About Us

We’re Rain City Capital—an established but rapidly growing hard money lender. We put our borrowers first, which is how we’ve built our business almost exclusively on word-of-mouth referrals. No two workdays are the same, so our team is comprised of individuals who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and take care of business. Our staff is energetic, fun, and committed to leading the industry by putting the relationship before the transaction.

About You

You’re looking to kickstart your career with a fun and fast-paced role supporting IT and Systems for a growing company. You’re known for creative problem solving and have excellent multi-tasking and prioritization abilities. You’re self-driven, tech-savvy, energetic, excellent at researching solutions, easily adaptable to change, and up for a challenge. You’re relentlessly proactive and organized, and pitch in to help your team members when needed.

You’re a student or recent graduate of information systems, or you have a couple of years’ experience in support or helpdesk — or maybe you’re a passionate hobbyist who’s spent countless hours tinkering and learning on your own. Experience is great, but what really matters is your curiosity, drive, and ability to solve problems. You have a good understanding of IT basics, as well as a customer service attitude and desire to make stuff happen. See below for more details on preferred qualifications.

About the Job

As the IT Coordinator at Rain City Capital, your primary job function will be to remove technology roadblocks to keep people working efficiently. You’ll look for ways to make your job (and theirs) simpler by managing a great onboarding experience, providing training on how to use their tools better, maintaining hardware and software to keep us current, and keeping spare equipment for that quick replacement vs. break-fix troubleshooting.Tech stack: We’re a Microsoft cloud shop using MS365 for Windows and Office, Entra for user management, SharePoint for file storage, Dynamics CRM, Power Automate, etc.

General hardware: We’re mostly using current Surface laptops and docks for users. No servers here—just some network switches, WiFi in the office, and a bunch of items on the cloud. We manage the user experience, not a closet full of lights.

Other tech stuff: We also have a cloud phone system to manage, a few printers here or there, a few non-MS applications, and all sorts of general peripherals to keep in shape.

 Roles and Responsibilities

Opportunity: There are lots of opportunities to use our existing systems to their fullest potential that will help make IT better and faster. Your first projects might include automating parts of our onboarding process, building out our SharePoint intranet to support collaboration and internal updates, and creating clear, user-friendly documentation — things like procedures, how-to guides, and quick tip sheets to help the team make better use of our tools. There’s a lot of opportunity to grow — whether you're interested in databases, automation, AI, or just want to explore different areas of IT, this is a great place to start and see where your skills can take you.
